Deepfakes are non-consensually AI-generated voices, images or videos that are created to produce sexual abuse media, commit fraud, and spread misinformation.
We have developed a concrete proposal for how deepfakes can be banned.
In the UK, a coalition of bipartisan politicians has endorsed our statement regarding the need for a ban on deepfakes.

In December 2023 the European Parliament settled on an EU AI Act that placed special regulations upon foundation models that have been trained with computational resources beyond a certain threshold.
